What is a Moving to Work Housing Authority?
As a public housing authority, the Lincoln Housing Authority (LHA) receives federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer over 3,000 vouchers in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Lincoln Housing Authority (LHA) is a Move to Work agency. This means LHA has worked with HUD to create special rules for its voucher program. These rules not only emphasize the importance of able-bodied individuals working, they allow LHA to address local issues and barriers for participants.
If you have a voucher from a different public housing authority, some program rules will be different at LHA.
